The landmarks of the settlement are: the church, where the famous Bulgarian writer Dora Gabe has contracted a marriage, as well as a monument of a Russian soldier, who took part in the Russian-Turkish war of liberation. Right next to the memorial, there is the cultural club of the village. Every 18th of July, the native people organize a fair. Kardam is a very nice place, because it is suitable for rural tourism and recreation.
